Lauri says she believes that the creative spirit lives within each and every one of us.
"The challenge for most is to find that true internal vision and allow it to be released to the outside world. Creativity is a given, but the ability to apply it is a blessing".
Lauri is a prolific artist and has participated in dozens of gallery and art shows in the Triangle and nearby. She has won many major art awards including First Place in the Art on the Neuse event in Oriental, NC, The Best in Show Award at the Junior League of Raleigh's Southern Women's Show and Best in Show at the Works of Heart Annual Art Gala in Raleigh, to name a few.
Lauri enjoys thinking outside of the box, cooking without a recipe and doodling, which she calls Scribboodles.
She has a wide range of mediums that she expresses her art in including oils, encaustic painting, mixed media and digitally utilizing Adobe CS.
With a strong technological mind, Lauri jumped between math and art classes and eventually landed a BFA in Graphic Design with an emphasis on advertising and communications from the University of Wisconsin. She currently resides in Wake Forest, NC.
