If you are an artist or small business owner looking to promote yourself, you might want to consider dressing up a flamingo for charity.
Inspirations is hosting our 2nd annual Beach Bash Open House, but we've added a new event... a Flamingo Auction to benefit the SPCA of Wake County.
In a nutshell, you would take a pink lawn flamingo and transform it into a piece of art, planter, yard light etc. We would then auction it off and the proceeds go to the SPCA.
If you are a small business owner and wish to bypass the flamingo-decorating process, you can donate a gift certificate and we will auction it off.
By donating, you will receive:
- A tax deductible donation form so you can write off your donation
- A blog post on the Inspirations blog promoting your business or art studio which will also be cross-promoted on our Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
- We will be advertising online as well as sending out press releases to local media.
- Signage at the store promoting your business or studio.
So, get started by filling out an intent to submit form. This is due by June 10th. The actual flamingo or gift certificate is due Wednesday, June 20th. The event is Saturday, June 23rd.
We have used, free flamingos graciously donated by Dazzle and Lace up at the store, or you can purchase a new flamingo from us for $7.95 or purchase your own elsewhere.
